The Tech Savvy Teacher!

This was such a fun assignment! It took me a while to figure out what I
wanted to do, but once I did, I had a blast searching for ways I could use technology in my lesson. Throughout this assignment I was introduced to resources I never knew were available. Technology truly is an amazing tool and can greatly assist any teacher if used wisely.
I also learned quite a lot about how to use the other tools that Microsoft Office offers like Microsoft Publisher. These are excellent ways to spice up any project. I'm glad that I was given the opportunity to experiment with them.
It was great to be able to check out other people's blogs for this assignment. Some of them did the same kind of lesson but approached it in a different way. It was great to see all the different ways to be creative with this assignment. I personally took a few ideas from others and mixed them with a few of my own. It is great to have so many resources around us.

Here is my Tech Savvy Teacher Newsletter. Enjoy!

Copyright & Fair Use

I learned things in this assignment that I have always wondered about. While I was watching the videos and reading the articles I thought back to my school where it seemed like they violated a lot of these rights, especially showing videos for entertainment and rewards. Granted, I never had a problem with it, but it is good to know now, as a future teacher, what I can and can't use. There is so much out there that teachers can use if they are smart about it. I am especially grateful for the sources they gave us for when we are teaching.
Also learning about the TPACK was interesting. First I learned that it actually existed and how useful it can be if used and combined correctly. It is so important to have all three components, content, pedagogy, and technology, in your lessons. It helps keep the students invested and focused on what they are doing, like the videos showed.
I'm just learning something new every week!
